SBR023 Release Date: March 6th, 2007 Since forming in early 2004, Siberian has managed to generate a significant buzz within the Seattle music scene. Siberian’s original 4 song demo, though never intended for release, was circulated throughout Seattle music scene, earning the band a loyal fan base, radio play, and enthusiastic praise from local critics. Described as stunning and dynamic, their music skates a delicate balance between gorgeous pop melodies and unique compositions, creating a sound that is as interesting as it is beautiful. Their debut EP demonstrates a surprisingly striking musicality coming from such a young group and, if it’s any indication of what’s to come, you should expect great things from this talented new band. Out Now!! |

SBR019 Release Date: October 2005 Featuring members of Boilermaker, No Knife and Tanner, this EP's influences range from distinct traces of San Diego's punk lineage, obscure 70's rock, subterranean layers drawing upon 20th century minimalism, modal jazz explorations, sources as old as Baroque harpsichord music and as futuristic as the sonic experiments of indie rock and beyond... Out Now |

SBR013 Release Date: April 2004 Tall Tales on Tape, is Graig's most accomplished album to date, an evolution of his songwriting skills. His songwriting, playing, and arranging have refined, yielding a persuasive cinematic quality to the sound of this record. Tall Tales on Tape combines Markel's signature solo work with performances by his live band, Verses on Venus. Also present are traces of early 70's Motown, Holland era Beach Boys, Shuggie Otis, and Steely Dan. Lo-fi rock and soul are filtered through Markel into something completely distinct. The record breathes with Graig's guitar and is backed by the orchestration of piano, percussion, horns, and vocal layering. Lyrically, Markel contemplates and composes from darkened rhythmical schemes that could heal you or push you over the edge. |
