Heather Duby returns in 2006 with her third, self-titled album on Sonic Boom Recordings. Once again working with Fisk, Duby is at her best mixing the ethereal sounds of Post to Wire with the grounded, piano based songwriting of Come Across the River. The combination makes for a record that has a depth of quality, as organic compositions are layered with Duby’s signature loops, samples and vocals that express the intensely emotional content of her songs. The introduction of Minus the Bear’s Erin Tate precision drumming adds new angles and a little math to the mix.
